Speaking training

Residents of the Placet Center can register as a priority until 03/10. Beyond this date, places will be open for other beneficiaries. Maximum 20 places available.

Training "public speaking in the university setting", given by Marie-France Stordeur, may be useful to you in the context of oral presentations to audiences, oral exams, dissertation and thesis defenses.

At the end of the training, you will be able to:

➡️ Identify the parameters of a successful oral presentation;

➡️ Acquire strategies for working on different dimensions of oral presentations before, during, and after the performance:
📌 verbal (appropriate content, message structure, hook, etc.)
📌 paraverbal (intonation, pace, volume, articulation, etc.)
📌 non-verbal (eye contact, posture, gestures, etc.)
📌 material (PowerPoint support, notes, poster, etc.)
📌 emotional (emotion regulation, etc.);

➡️ Use a self-assessment grid for your presentations;

➡️ For those who wish, practice your developing presentations;

➡️ For those who wish, receive constructive feedback.
